Present for the Conservation Commission and attending the meeting were: Richard Steves, Chairman, Pam Goff Vice Chairman, Bruce Bartels, Andrew Fischer, Dick Smith, Sandy Broyard, Caitlin Jones, Virginia Dyer, Rusty Walton and Chuck Hodgkinson. Chris Alley, Doug Cooper and Callie Silva also attended.
Mr. Steves opened the meeting at 12:30 PM. The site visits for today’s meeting took place on December 1.
RFD CHRIS ALLEY FOR CHILMARK HOUSE LLC (DAVIES); AP 25-135; 12 Stone Ridge: Mr. Alley summarized the plan to install a built-in swimming pool and spa adjacent to the single-family residence. The finished structures will be located outside a wetland buffer zone on an established lawn. There will be some construction disturbance with minimal grading and re-seeding of a small area of lawn in the second fifty-foot section of a wetland buffer zone. The limit of work will have a silt and snow fence installed before work begins. After brief discussion a motion was made for a negative determination. The motion was seconded and unanimously approved.
ADMINISTRATION: The November 18th meeting minutes were reviewed. A motion was made to approve the minutes as amended. The motion was seconded and unanimously approved.
Goldberg beach stairs; SE 12 – 443; AP 30-113: The Commission accepted Todd Christy’s report and recommendations for the removal of two sections of the beach stairs. It was confirmed that these sections will be placed on top of the coastal bank.
Peter Norris AP 8-58, 59; Blueberry Ridge Lane: Mr. Walton summarized his site visit and described the work that was being done in the buffer zone of a wetland. The Commission instructed Mr. Walton to send a Notice of Violation.
